Audrey Gidman

Audrey Gidman (she/they) is a queer poet living where the Penobscot River meets the sea on Wabanoki Land (Dawnland) in so-called Maine. She serves as assistant poetry editor for Gigantic Sequins and chapbook editor for Newfound.

Audrey’s work centers a tender yet insatiable desire to explore, turn over, and witness grief, trauma, somatic reckoning, family systems, land-scape and the body. At Sable, they are working on their first full-length book of poems, examining addition, CPTSD, trauma, memory and hones, frank, compassionate ways we can hold our most shame-inducing moments.

Fun fact: allergic to kiwis.
