Mackenzie Nye (she/they) is a Bay Area born dancer currently living and freelance dancing in Brooklyn, NY.

While at Sable she explored her perceptions of nuclear family through writing, reflecting, and embodied movement. Mackenzie created a solo while in residency that unpacked the relationship dynamics within her own family history.

Before moving to New York she was employed as a pine tree researcher in the Sierras. Although currently far from wide open spaces she maintains a deep connection to nature.
